An Advanced Diploma of Oil and Gas at TAFE Western Australia will help you to develop the skills and knowledge you need to have a successful career in the Oil and Gas industry.

During the course, you will study the geophysical and chemical formation of petroleum and the concepts of petroleum geology. You will learn about drilling operations, both onshore and offshore; concepts of downhole pressure conditions and formation mechanisms, and well control methodologies. The course also covers the environmental effects of engineering.  The Advanced Diploma builds on a Diploma course (also offered at TAFE WA) and provides career opportunities in various areas of the oil and gas industry including Project Close Out Coordinator, Joint Venture Coordinator, Petroleum Technician, and FLNG Operator.

TAFE WA's Advanced Diploma in Oil and Gas is taught at Central Institute.  Central Institute is located in Perth’s buzzy Northbridge neighbourhood, right in the centre of the city. The vibrant campus offers world class facilities and strong links to industry players.

Course Fees: AUD $6,750 per semester, additional resource and material fees may apply.
Intake: February and July
Admission Requirements: Students for whom English is not their first language, will need an IELTS score (academic) of 5.5 with no band score less than 5.0 or equivalent to gain entry to this course.
