"When deciding where to study, I found that TAFE SA had a lot more options which meant that I could easily transfer credits if I decided to pursue a specific path within an industry. In hospitality alone there were so many choices and I was able to decide exactly where I wanted to branch out to after starting my study at Certificate III level. I felt that I had flexibility about which path I wanted to follow and I wasn’t limited to my first choice.

"TAFE SA is very affordable compared to doing a university course and with the flexibility of courses; it was the obvious choice for me.

"The Student Ambassador program has given me so many experiences and opportunities during my time at TAFE SA. I have been fortunate enough to be able to meet the Lord Mayor of Adelaide, the Education Minister, Jack Snelling and a whole host of others in the education circle. It has been a truly rewarding experience.

"With my TAFE SA qualification at Certificate III, I have had opportunities to gain experience within the hospitality industry. I have had great support from lecturers who have helped me in this. Through working while studying I have gained valuable experience that I will take with me wherever I go next in my career.

"For the future I want to further my skills and experience in the areas that I have studied and use these skills in an environment to make change that will benefit employees and employers.

"I’ve loved being in Adelaide, it’s so aesthetically pleasing and safe. The coffees are plenty and good, something that I’ve learnt during my barista training and have been enjoying ever since.

"I can’t wait to see where my double diploma will take me next!"
