Certificate III in Hairdressing at Taylorweir

Certificate III in Hairdressing is an Australian trade level recognised worldwide. It is the minimum qualification required to practice Hairdressing in Australia. Taylorweir will ensure you receive an exceptional standard of training that is highly regarded in the hairdressing industry. The school guarantees small classes and individualised training in an environment that encourages excellence.

Tuition is through face-to-face lectures, practice on human hair mannequin heads and structured practical live model workshops.

There are 32 Units of Competence in the Certificate III in Hairdressing qualification and you will apply your new skills on clients in Taylorweir’s training salon. This practical training will give you the ability to perform consultations in a salon environment and learn how to work within the time frames expected in a commercial hairdressing salon.

Currently training 40% of all the hairdressing apprentices and trainees in Western Australia, Taylorweir enjoys an excellent reputation and close relationship with hairdressing salons in Western Australia and will assist you in work experience placements in some of Perth’s top salons.

As an international student you will have the opportunity to learn alongside and integrate with our local hairdressing apprentices, compete in hairdressing competitions, form friendships and experience the Australian lifestyle and culture of Perth.

Certificate IV in Hairdressing at Taylorweir

Certificate IV in Hairdressing is the more advanced areas of artistic skills and knowledge necessary to perform in the workplace as a talented industry professional. Certificate IV in Hairdressing expands the student’s current knowledge of cutting and advanced colouring. The additional units in this qualification include make-up; advanced long hair styling; hair extensions, and conclude with a session styling event.

This is an exciting course with a high practical component with minimal theory, of which concentrates on essential fundamental knowledge to support the technical skills taught.

Tuition is through face-to-face lectures, practice on human hair mannequin heads and structured practical live model workshops in a simulated salon environment.

Our most senior and accomplished educators at Taylorweir will guide you through this intensive course that will give you the confidence to follow the artistic pathway of your choice.

Diploma of Salon Management

Learn the Secrets of Leading a Happy and Productive Salon Team and a Successful Salon Business.

The Diploma of Salon Management is a challenging and comprehensive course designed to prepare individuals for management positions in the hairdressing and spa industry.

This course will provide you with a benchmark for good practice guidelines for the financial management of a salon business, managing staff, marketing strategies, hairdressing establishment regulations and the legal requirements for employing staff.

Tuition is through face-to-face lectures, PowerPoint presentations and guest speakers from within the industry.

Career opportunities for graduates include being employed as a salon or spa manager or becoming self-employed.
