Train to become a retail butcher at TAFE NSW

The South Western Sydney Institute (SWSi) – part of TAFE New South Wales – has recently opened its retail butcher qualification to international students.  The Certificate III in Meat Processing (Retail Butcher) programme provides students with the skills and qualification to work as a butcher within the retail sector.

Over 100 scholarships for TAFE NSW students

TAFE NSW are offering scholarships of AU$2000 towards tuition fees for international students starting their study in Semester 2 2015.

Students must have an offer for a TAFE NSW Diploma, Advance Diploma or Bachelor Degree programme – at least 1.5 years duration – to apply. Scholarships will be awarded to students who demonstrate academic merit and other achievements.

Studying Hotel Management at the Hotel School Sydney

If you are interested in learning hotel management, Australia is one of the best places in the world to study.  The Hotel School Sydney has grown out of a special partnership between Southern Cross University and Mulpha Australia hotels, where you can study a Bachelor of Business in Hotel Management.  This video gives a special tour of the classrooms and InterContinental Hotel in Sydney, where the programme is taught.

Certificate III in Mobile Plant Technology at TAFE Queensland SkillsTech

There are still a few places left for international students in the February intake of the Certificate III in Mobile Plant Technology. This certificate is taught by TAFE Queensland SkillsTech and provides graduates with the skills and knowledge to work in the heavy vehicle mobile equipment service industry.

Study Options’ student wins International Student of the Year Award

We love to hear from our students once they have arrived in Australia or New Zealand, especially when they have good news!  We are pleased to announce that one of our students, who went to study at the Challenger Institute in Western Australia (TAFE WA), has just graduated and won the award for International Student of the Year.

Melbourne and Sydney in the top 10 best student cities

QS Rankings have recently announced their Best Student Cities list for 2015.  Then entire list include 50 cities around the world, Paris tops the list, with Melbourne a close second and Sydney in fourth place.  Melbourne has recently also been voted the World's Most Liveable City.

Brisbane, Canberra, Perth, Adelaide, and Auckland in New Zealand also all feature in the list.
