Western Australia is Australia’s largest state and covers the entire Western third of the country. So, if you want to live and study in Western Australia, your choices are not restricted to Perth!

Studying outside of a big city can provide students with a unique opportunity to experience life in a close community while earning a qualification that will provide excellent future career options.

TAFE Western Australia has seven regional campuses all around the state offering courses open to international students. The campuses are divided up by area:

The combined PGA IGI and Bachelor degree programme is very unique and one I learned from greatly during my time of study. I met many PGA professionals, including those at the IGI, who were extremely helpful and made my three years very enjoyable as I studied Golf, Business and Sports Management. Gaining the qualification also gave me a pathway into the PGA Trainee programme, becoming a full vocational member of the PGA of Australia. This has provided me with many opportunities in the golf industry here in Southeast Asia.

The PGA IGI Diploma of Golf Management has taught me so much and was so relevant in so many ways.  I benefitted from the formal course and assignment work, along with workplace practical elements, from running a pro shop, to course management and the logistics around competition management.

The PGA International Golf Institute helped give me my start in the golf industry as a result of the golf knowledge, confidence and networking I obtained during my 3 years with the institute. As a graduate of the PGA IGI, is has provided me with a number of career paths, including making the successful start in golf club management. I am fortunate to now have great friends, networks and industry colleagues that originated from my time studying the Diploma of Golf Management with the PGA IGI.

Job Title: Golf operations Manager, Concord Golf Club

My time at the PGAIGI was instrumental in assisting me reach my goals in the golf world today. During my time in the programme I developed my skill set in all facets relating to golf and business, and most importantly built great confidence in my ability. The programme facilitates an outstanding academic schedule, real life golf industry operation systems plus the practical side of golf. The broad scope of work covered allows students to get a thorough understanding of the golf world and prepares them for the industry.
