“Studying in Tasmania is one of the best decisions I have made. My teachers inspired and encouraged me, which gave me confidence.  Since graduating from TasTAFE, I have worked in managerial roles in high end luxury hotels across Australia.  Wherever I have been employed, I have been promoted very quickly. I love what I do”.

"I chose to study in Tasmania because of the reputation in education excellence. My sister and I lived in Tasmania and we have thoroughly enjoyed our experience.

Choosing a study destination is an important decision. The first thing everybody usually considers is where they want to go. Instead, I chose this destination because there was something I want to do there, a goal I want to achieve. Deciding what you wish to gain from your international experience is the first step.

“I enjoy customer service and studied tourism and business management back in South Korea. I chose commercial cookery because I wanted to get the skills in the hospitality industry.

My trainer Michaela respects all of the students’ opinions. She always provide us with useful information and she makes the mood of class excitingly, which is great.

“I came from India to complete my hospitality and commercial cookery qualification in Australia. I learnt the fundamentals of cooking all the way up to managing a hospitality venue. Seeing all the different aspects of a hospitality operation has made me appreciate the industry and it has helped me realise that hospitality is the perfect career.

“Growing up in a Filipino home, it has always been a tradition in our family to gather together to celebrate special occasions and momentous achievements. My love affair with cooking started during these simple get-togethers. I have vivid memories as a young fourteen-year-old helping my dad out in the kitchen with the mise en place. I found joy in assisting him with his specialty dishes and serving my family, even pretending that the beautifully garnished dishes were my own recipes.

“I was very impressed with Quality Training. They have always been very helpful and flexible, particularly in terms of meeting visa needs. The staff are very accommodating, they were always good to me, and I did make a couple of good friends. Overall, it was a very positive experience I and would recommend QTHC”
